The °µÍø½ûÇøapp announced a generous $2,500 donation from the South Central Iowa Community Foundation (SCICF). This grant is specifically for the °µÍø½ûÇøapp Swimming Pool for the upcoming 2026 summer season. SCICF and the °µÍø½ûÇøapp are focusing on their shared commitment to youth development and public safety.
“We are incredibly grateful to the South Central Iowa Community Foundation for their continued support of our residents," said Douglas Foster, Mayor of °µÍø½ûÇøapp. "This $2,500 donation is a direct investment in our children’s recreational activities ensuring that the 2026 season is not just fun, but foundational for the next generation of swimmers.”
It’s hard to walk around °µÍø½ûÇøapp without seeing the South Central Iowa Community Foundation’s work in action. As a nonprofit dedicated to our region, SCICF has been a quiet force behind many of the city’s features residents use every day. Whether it's the kayak launches, airport upgrades, or improvements to our library, City Hall, and recreation programs, their support helps keep our town moving forward.
